Living and Working in the Capital District

The Capital Region is an incredible place to call home - from its historic architecture in Albany, to its proximity to the Adirondacks and the excitement of Saratoga Springs - this lively area offers entertainment options for everyone. 2023 was an exciting time in Saratoga County with the following news announcements:

1. The City of Saratoga Springs is thrilled to host the Belmont Stakes in 2024 while the Belmont racecourse is under renovation. This could also carry over to the 2025      season.
2. Global Foundries announced that it finalized its purchase of approximately 800 acres of additional land next to its current manufacturing facility in Malta, NY.      As the market for semi-conductors expands, this purchase demonstrates      Global Foundries commitment to growth in Malta, NY. According to a Global      Foundries press release, “GF employs approximately 2,500 people in Malta,      New York, and to date has invested more than $15 billion in the facility.”
